Kitchen remodeling in Reading, PA.
Start your Reading-area kitchen remodel with a clearer list of decisions. Awakened Kitchens combines coordinated cabinetry, stone countertops and backsplash with the installation work in a starting package, then helps identify the additions your home needs.
Compare the scope, not just the bottom line.
Two kitchen estimates can look very different because they include different work. Before you compare numbers for a Reading or Berks County home, make sure each proposal is describing the same project.
Write one list for every estimate
Include the cabinet configuration, countertop and backsplash selections, removal of the old kitchen, fixture replacements, appliance installation and painting. Then ask which items are included and which are allowances or separate work.
Keep appliance purchase and installation separate
A quote that includes connecting appliances may not include buying them. Our base scope includes installing your own appliances, whether you keep your current ones or buy new ones yourself; appliances bought through us are an additional cost. Decide what you plan to keep and collect model numbers before the cabinet arrangement is finalized.
Leave room to review existing conditions
Photographs can help start a conversation, but they cannot show every condition behind a cabinet or wall. Discuss visible water damage, known electrical concerns or earlier alterations at the measurement visit so the proposal can address what is known.
A coordinated kitchen, starting at $25,000.
Cabinets with a fridge panel, hardware, package quartz or granite, backsplash, the agreed fixture installation, installation of your own appliances, removal, and kitchen wall and ceiling painting form the starting scope.
Your configuration, measurements and existing conditions determine the final proposal. Crown molding, flooring, appliances bought through us, painting other rooms, required permits and work outside the base scope are an additional cost.

Are quartz countertops an extra charge?
Quartz or granite from the package selections is included in the base scope. A specialty selection or work outside that scope can cost more. The calculator does not add another charge just for selecting the included quartz or granite.
Why does the online estimate show a range?
Upgrade allowances use a low and high planning amount because products and installation conditions vary. They are added to the package starting price. Required permits, repairs and unpriced work are not hidden inside that range.
Can you quote from photos alone?
Photos are useful for the initial discussion, but a final project price requires measurements, selections and a scope review. Use the calculator to prepare for that conversation, rather than as a construction quote.
